Kitschy Hindi Alphabet

The closed box

Ummm, so I have gone a little offbeat and present the Hindi alphabet with kitschy visual representation. Just for fun, I will translate the first three …the first one is “Anar” which is pomegranate, below is “Aam” which is Mango and  the third one is “Angur” which is grapes. The object in the photo is a mouth freshener storage box (like sweet cumin) in which I store candy instead.

I am very fond of the stickers and teaching aid engaged in India to teach kids the Alphabet. Most of them are kitschy and present the rural life of India. What pleasant memories it brings to see this 🙂
