WPC: Wanderlust

Photography

Wherever you go, go with all your heart.”
– Confucius

There is always one moment/location that captures my heart in every travel destinationI have been to. It is not necessarily the most famous tourist spot or even a known location.

These locations are embedded deep in me because I felt something open up when I experienced, a flow of energy perhaps? They are not just snaps to me, they are transcendental meditation. For when I do look at them, I feel like I am there.

Just how I feel right now, as I wrote this post, looking at this snaps, I traveled to these locations and now I am back home. That I guess is the spirit of Wanderlust.

Harmony: The Five Elements

Photography, Travel

LA Jolla

At first glance, I saw the earth, water, and the amber sky. My interpretative mind painted a profound picture … the glorious streaks in the sky visually depict fire, the patch drifting away reflects the movement of the wind, the negative space to the right and the horizon represents space.

It is a picture perfect Harmony of earth, wind, water, fire, and space.

State of Mind: Curiosity

Photography, Travel

IMG_2327.CR2

I was not aware of the concept of “Surf Fishing.” I assumed fishing is a sport done only by the river. When I saw this man with a fishing pole, I first thought he was experimenting. My curiosity kicked in. And my trigger-happy instincts kicked in as well.

An Empire State of Mind

An Empire State of Mind

If you ever want to capture the feeling of NYC in your heart, just set your eyes on the Empire State Building. I felt a mixture of awe, wonderment, and blanking out. I fondly call this the “Empire State of Mind.”
